很累，但很充实。

Hello readers :)

Its been 76 days since the day i first step into University Malaya as a University Students.

So what have i been doing?
Have been very busy with activities either in my own residential college or university.
My schedule everyday goes like "wake up-class-lunch-class-dinner-meeting-sleep"
Although is very tiring, but i enjoyed every single moment of it.

So i started to get along better with my course-mates and college-mates.
Able to remember more names so i won't go like "Er..whats your name again?"

For my studies,
First year courses are not too heavy yet.
Can still manage it although i join like x103048 activities.
Lecturers are good, coursemates are friendly.
Test...so far so good. :)

Apart from studies,
I joined a special activity under PBCUM - QZH 8
Met a bunch of very active and outgoing friends from all over UM.
Also took part in a few activities in my residential college.
Mooncake Festival, MediaC, Talk Series and more to come!

Under QZH8,
I went to Pahang for a so called roadshow, to promote our upcoming camp for secondary students.
Met a lot of lovely secondary students and make me miss secondary school even more :'(
Learnt a lot throughout the entire event.
Ate a lot of good food too :)

I shall stop here as i ran out of ideas what to write.

One Step Forward, One Step Closer

Hello dear readers :)

Its been real long since my last update.

Forgive me for the long absence, was pretty busy with preparation to university.

So final 6 days before leaving my oh-so-lovely Malacca.

I can't believe 9 months of holidays have finally come to the end.

Time to leave this familiar place.

Time to step out of my comfort zone.

Time to explore and meet new friends.

Indeed i am excited, but i am also sad as well.

Sad because i have to leave my family who stand by me always.

But on the brighter note, I am one step closer to my Dream.

I am blessed that i am lucky enough to be offered my first choice in my University application.

And with that, i will strive harder to make my family & friends proud.

To those who stood by me all the time,

Thank you for all the support and motivation, that push me further.

To those who condemn,

Thank you for making me a stronger and better person.

Hello dear readers :)

So today, local university placement results was out.

LIKE FINALLY !!

Guess what?! I was so nervous that i couldn't slept well yesterday night.

When i got the results, i was really happy and grateful.

I was offered by 2 universities, UM and USM.

Plus point to it, both courses are my first choice :)

So this proves that you have to really think and plan before choosing the courses.

Apart for being happy, the headache comes next.

Which one should i choose?

AHHH. decisions decisions decisions.

i really hate this.

I can't wait to start studying again & meeting new friends :)

Was busy WORKING & SLEEPING !

And finally i receive some good news !

I was asked to go for an interview at University Malaya for Statistics !

YES ! 

I literally jump for joy when i checked the website :D

I will defo give in my very best, ain't gotta lose this chance anymore!

So i will blog about how it goes when i go for the interview alright?

I can't wait to stop working and start travelling :)

Ever since GE-13 is over, 

I am sure all of you are aware that racial issues are arising in our beloved country

Malay-Chinese-Indian (Malaysia)

I am 20 this year.

I can't vote.

But I love my country.

In this 20 years, I have lived in a peaceful and harmony country.

Every races goes to school together, work together, play together, eat together, laugh together.

If you remember what you once study in History about 13 May 1969.

You should know that 13 May incident is an incident that no one wished to remember about.

I would not agree 100% with all the posts in the social media nor the traditional media.

But i am sure that

We have one aim, one same motive.

We want to bring Malaysia to a greater heights and also a better Malaysia.

Why must we start racial issues now?

We are Malaysians.

We should stand together and unite, not fight.

Hello readers. 

Started my contract job ever since Tuesday

& so far i am enjoying :)

Learnt MORE stuffs as well.

Just a little tired :/

So i got rejected by NTU

was quite disappointed with it :(

Now hoping that i was offered courses i like in NUS/Local Universities.

*prays*

I can't wait for road trips with my friends after my contract ends.

I need a break !

I need a getaway !

I can't wait for Broga Hill.

I can't wait for Penang Trip.

Thoughts II

I need inspirations to blog.

Was overwhelmed with applications and decisions.

Which course to choose?

Which universities?

What are the future careers?

What interest me the most?

Did i make the right choice?

After being in this world for almost 20 years,

I learnt that my life was never easy

AND

full of circumstances.

I been through the hard way and all this experience shaped me to into who i am today.

I am thankful that i have a bunch of true friends who are always by my side.

I am thankful that i have family members that are always supportive and respect my decisions.

I am thankful because I met wonderful people along my journey in life.

I am thankful for those who hurt me along the way because you made me stronger.

I will never give up because I know I can do it.

Better future awaits.

I have so much things to update.

Yet so little time.

Yesterday, i lost my uncle.

It was all so sudden and unexpected.

I can vividly remember how we joked last week when i met him during Cheng Beng.

"Why walked all the way back up? Just whatsapp your ancestor!"

I couldn't accept the fact that i lost my uncle.

The uncle who came up with a story why I always do well in my examinations.

Just because in Chinese, my name sounds like "Add Zero"

So no matter how badly i did, 

my results will always have a extra zero at the back that makes a 100%

And when i scrolled through your Facebook,
I realized you even created a event called "JiaLin Poh Birthday"
and you clicked attending.
I was so surprised that i only saw this now.
And it was too late to even say Thank You.

Why must such cruel incident happened?

Tears can't stop flowing ever since i got to know about the news yesterday.

May You Rest in Peace - Dearest Uncle Kheng Lye.

You will be remembered & loved.

Thoughts.

Its 1.51 am right now.
And i am still awake typing this blog post.
Am i nervous? Am i scared?
Of course, who doesn't?

Taking my results in 11 hours?
Glad that i am able to meet all my friends again :)
But worried that i might not get satisfactory results.

To be honest,
I think i am a perfectionist.
I want to be at my best at all time.
I am "kia-su" all the time.

But after the results.
What will my future route be?
Local Universities? Private Universities? Overseas?
Which course should i study?

OMG.
i think i should stop.
before i ended up wide awake until tomorrow morning.

1M4U Reach Out Youth Convention

Hello readers :)

So as most of you know, i went up to KL last Friday night just to go for the 1M4U Reach Out Youth Convention on Saturday to meet my favorite Youtube Singer - Jason Chen *grins*

Reach Taylors Lakeside University at approx 8am in the morning. Met up with Megan & Nellie & join in the queue to secure ourselves the Meet & Greet tickets :D

Rushed up to the RSVP queue once the registration starts.

Surprisingly, we managed to get the Meet & Greet tickets as the registration and Meet & Greet for first 50 registrants are at different location.

The convention started with talks by some inspiring speakers like Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, Puspha Basnet, Scott Hammell, Deborah Henry & Youtubers ( JinnyBoy, Jason Chen, David Choi, Chester See )

I was really inspired by their will to success. 

For example, 

When life gives you lemon, instead of sour, they take it as something sweet. 

Don't wait for the light, be the light.

& many many other inspirational quotes.

Another exciting thing ! Jason Chen spotted me in his Music Never Sleep t-shirt & asked for my name when the convention was going on :D *ahhhh!!!*

Next, i went for the Meet & Greet together with Nellie, Megan & another 3 girls i met in 1M4U :D

The Meet & Greet only last for 5 seconds? Group photo, greet & bye :(

But i managed to received a warm hug from Jason :D *jumps around*

The night was what the main event was for - CONCERT !

Most importantly, Jason is performing :D

He sang five songs !!

No doubt, Chester & David are amazingly good too!

After their performances, all the fans ran towards to see if they can get a photo with the Youtubers.

& after waiting for quite long.

I saw Jason came out & i waved my Polaroid camera giving him signs that i want a photo with him *shy*

& he walked towards my direction & took a photo with me :D *double happiness*

I even gave him one of the polaroid we took :D

Hopes that he will remember me & keep the polaroid !

I will be going to his Showcase in Singapore end of March :D

Meeting him again :D

Projek Rumah Ibadat Kita

Hello dear readers :)

Recently, i joined this project running in Melaka to discover & research about places of worship in Melaka. Mainly in Jalan Tokong & Jalan Hang Jebat (Jonker Street).

This project will take up 8 weekends, end around early April.
Since i am only working from Monday - Friday, so Why Not ?
Its time to get myself to explore more things & get to know each religion better :)
I would say so far, the research & interviews are FUN !

So for last Saturday & Sunday, we went to research about this Hindu Temple named Sri Poyatha Vinayagar Moorthi Temple along Jalan Tokong. The person in charged was so nice to share with us all the details about this temple. I choose to do research about the History, & i really learnt ALOT.

The plot of land was awarded to the Chetti Community in Melaka by the Dutch back in 1709. Due to lack of manpower & technology back then, it takes nearly 72 years for the temple to be fully established, which is the year of 1781. It is the oldest Hindu temple in Malaysia. Not to forget, oldest functioning Hindu Temple in Malay Archipelago.

This temple is dedicated mainly to Lord Vinayagar or Ganesha, the elephant deity. There are also altar for Lord Muruga, younger brother of Lord Vinayagar & Lord Shiva, father of Lord Vinayagar as well as other deities.

What is Chetti? Who are Chetti of Malacca?
Chetti means traders. Chetti of Malacca are traders from Kalinga who are Tamils. Some of this traders treat Malacca as second home, they decided to get married with the local women and stay here.

The temple is currently under management of the Chettiars' Community under agreement with the Chetti Community. Chettiars' are people from India who came to Malaysia during British regime. They are bankers & money lenders, completely different from the Chetti people.

There are also a few uniqueness i found in this temple. Most Hindu temples only devote to either Vasnavites or Shaivites. But for this temple, there are combination of both.

The next morning, i woke up early in the morning to witness the celebration of Maasimagam. One of the main celebration for this temple & to worship Lord Muruga. I was told that this event only held in Malacca. All the devotees will start walking from Jalan Tokong to one of the temple in Cheng. There are also devotees in Kavadi, dancing while the music is played. There are also offerings by devotees.

I would not want to elaborate more, before all my fellow readers fell asleep. :X
It was interesting to me, since i think if not because of this project, i will never walk in to a Hindu temple.

Hello my dear readers :D

Wishing all of you have a prosperous snake year!

This year, is one of the most fruitful Chinese New Year i have spent with all my families & friends.

I spent quality times with all of them catching up.

& i never know when will i have that chance again.

I met most of them once a year.

So will there still be next year? What if i am going to oversea to study?

When will we gather like that again?

I miss all the gathering moments already.

All the discussion about futures, studies & jokes.

Not to forget, meeting all my extended family members.

Ahhh. how i miss that.

& also Chinese New Year are mainly about - FOOD !

yes. the oh-so-delicious FOOD !

Wednesday.

I went back to work, for 1 day :)

Then i went to Gimmy's BBQ party at night!

Talking about Valentine's Day or i shall say Single Awareness Day :D

I spent it with 26 friends going around for visiting & gambling.

HEHE.

I won a little. HEHE. not much i would say. RM16?

The next day, Friday.

I went to visiting with my secondary school friends :D

Catch up moments with friends that i have yet to met after form 5.

It is so glad to know that all of you are doing fine.

Then, Sunday.

I went visiting with my F6's friends :D

Not to forget.

I also Facetime with my best friend all the way from UK :D

Amici Per La Vita ! I feel so blessed to have them.

I have to admit that for the past few days, i am disappointed because something happened.

I would not want to elaborate more here.

To those who know about it. Kindly keep it to yourself :D

But i am really lucky & blessed to have my friends all around me.

All the supports & encouragement, seriously i feel loved.

Most of you see me as a happy-go-lucky girl.

But i am sure deep down in everyone, there must be some dark side.

I am glad that i am moving on.

I am glad that i decided not to hold on after two years.

I decided to love myself more & put myself in first priority.

Trip to Genting

Hello readers :)

I just got back from a small vacation yesterday & the title clearly stated where i been !

This trip started off on Friday afternoon.

After Yuh Shen picked me up, we went to fetch Catherine & Sophia.

We waited for them to finish booking their flight tickets & off to KL.

We talked throughout the journey to KL since all of us are too energetic 

& wanted to accompany the driver of the trip - Lye Yuh Shen.

There are no traffic congestion along the journey & we managed to reach Genting safely :)

We stopped at Gohtong Jaya for our dinner.

We managed to catch the sunset on our way up to Genting.

After settle down in the hotel, we went to First World to shop around.

We went back to hotel & played Monopoly Deal after that.

Then, we call it a day.

The next morning, we woke up around 9 plus 

& managed to get ShiTing to get us cheaper Outdoor Themepark tickets :)

We went to themepark around 12pm after our brunch.

We went down to Taman Cendawan for dinner.

Then get back to Genting for FREEZE 2.

After the show.

We went to meet up with ShiTing again for a short mamak session.

After that, we went back to hotel & wash up then sleep.

Sunday morning,

We get ourself ready & leave Genting at 10am.

We manage to drop at Paradigm Mall for a short shopping session.

& ate lunch at Jojo's Pan Mee before going back to Melaka.

Tons of laughter again in the car 

& i shall not elaborate more to make this post long & boring.

I would love to say thank you to Sophia, Catherine & YuhShen for making this trip a memorable one.

Looking forward to another trip with you all soon.

the next post coming up will probably be CNY post already.

My First Job

Hello readers :)

Just a short update about what i am currently doing as student who finished her examinations & have 9 months holidays *OMG*

I get myself my oh-so FIRST JOB ever in life.
Working as a Cheque Entry member in Unisys Melaka.
I would say the job is fine for me because i only have to sign in around 2pm in the afternoon.
Which means i do not have to wake up early :)
I started the job 2 weeks ago.
Until today, i think i can cope with the work load given & its not too hard i would say.
I can get along with my colleagues quite well? *i think*
Another plus point about this job is the working hours is kind of short.
I work 2-3 hours at first when i joined in & now working at least 6 hours a day :)
High pay as well RM7.50/hour *YAY*

There is only one condition to get the job offer.
Which is.....

FAST TYPING SPEED.

At first, i think i was fast since i pass the typing test.
But i realized i am quite slow compare to all the other colleagues *shy*
Training myself to improve more & type faster as days past by.
I hope i can catch up with other colleagues soon.

Oh yea. A few of my friends who passed the test join me too this week :)
Finally some familiar faces *YES*

I think i should stop here.

Will update more happenings event soon
& new year resolutions as well.
